Main Purpose of the Role

Reporting directly to the Digital Sales Manager, the Digital Account Manager is responsible for selling a wide range of digital marketing products and solutions to a variety of business clients throughout the UK. The Digital Account Manager will build his/her portfolio of clients, and be responsible for retaining the business with each client year on year. The Digital Account Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining his/her own portfolio of clients through b2b networking and cold calling, and liaising with the customer success team to ensure that the orders are delivered to the clients’ specifications and requirements.

Key Tasks

  • Contacting business clients, through cold-calling or through previous relationships, and introducing Simple Media Solutions and our services.
  • Conducting preliminary customer needs analysis and keyword reviews in preparation for sales proposal
  • Arranging face to face meetings to discuss needs in more detail and promote services to the clients.
  • Creating and presenting sales proposals tailored to each customer’s individual needs.
  • Processing orders and creating detailed briefs for the Customer Success Team to action.
  • To diarise follow up visits for add-on sales and renewals.

  • Self-motivated and pro-active
  • Target driven and with a hunger for sales
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Shows initiative and enthusiasm
  • Good organisational skills and time management
  • Proven experience of business to business sales (ideally in a marketing field)
  • Has a strong drive for personal development and learning (as the industry is constantly changing)

Crucial Skills/Experience/Qualifications

  • Previous business to business sales experience
  • IT literate with a confident grasp of MS Office applications
  • A strong understanding of all major social media platforms
  • Facebook / Twitter / Google+ / LinkedIn
  • A basic understanding of search engines and online marketing
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK
